immigration services allow nationals of ECOWAS countries (Economic Community of West African States) to enter Ghana without applying for visas. This courtesy is also extended to nationals of Egypt, Hong Kong, Kenya, Mauritius, and Singapore.In addition, those candidates entering Ghana only en route to another final destination may enter the country without a transit visa if they will depart within 24 hours and they are in possession of tickets and seat reservations for their onward travel.In these circumstances, passengers must not leave the airport transit zone. Beyond these concessions, all applicants wishing to travel to the country will need to be in possession of a valid permit for Ghana.In Ghana, visas for short stay durations are issued as either a tourist visa, or a business visa.
